Default First Person Hero View

I was wondering if it would be a good new idea to be able to control your characters in first person view. For example when you're trying to trap, it's hard to flag a hero close but not too close to your enemy before they enter your aggro circle and there is no way to tell. It would be nice if there was an option to switch to your heroes temporarily and control them like you would do your normal character so you could trap or do other stuff that is hard to do by just controlling them from the window view and skill bars. Like they could also help pick up items in some missions like the urn of st victor.

Opinions?
Thanks

There is a magic spell in Everquest 2 that allowed an enchanter to look through someone else's eyes. It was kinda neat, if not gimmicky.
Maybe a spell that allows someone to look through their targets eyes.

Put aggro bubbles on the heros in the mini map perhaps?

^could happen i guess, if they are gonna keep adding heroes.

if you could go to the view of heroes while alive and commanding, it would definitely rule

so control your heroes, as you would your own character?

I think its a nice idea. I would imagine it would work in a similar way to playing one of those Marvil comic role playing games. The ones where you press a button to rotate to another character to take control.

Maybe have a circle in a corner where you can choose a head of a hero and take control.

But a see a few issues;

Does the AI take over your character as you control the heroe?
Overpowerment?

Im usually one to agrue against this idea that heroes are anymore powerfull then regular henches (other then being able to add runes and 15^50 weapons). I dont believe they are other then being customised.

But in this case I think it would have some serious over-powerment issues. if you consider how easily you could jump from one character to another and back. You would in essence have access to 24 skills.

I love the idea, but I think it detracts from the idea that the heroes are players in their own right. Who take drops and a share of the gold.

If you consider that when in a PUG, you cant just take control of another humans character and do as you wish. But you can ask them to use a skill or do an action as you can a heroe. Its almost the same principle.

I say keep it as it is.
